Job Summary:
In this role youwill be responsible for originating business aircraft financing transactions in your assigned territory. This will includegenerating, developing, and maintaining relationships with corporate and high net worth clients and the business aviation channel partners that provide services to this client base. For the opportunities you identify, you will work with clients and their advisors to structure sound transactions that meet their needs. This will include leading the transaction through its life cycle from prospecting to funding and subsequently, proactive relationship management. Working together with our marketing team, you will execute on market development and origination strategies to identify and nurture prospects.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute an effective coverage plan for assigned territory with the objective of maximizing the pipeline of target market leasing and financing transactions
- Proactively cover existing customers in assigned territory to stay on top of their evolving business aviation financing needs and develop solutions to retain them in GJC’s portfolio
- Build and maintain C-level relationships with clients, prospects, OEMs and other channel partners (such as brokers and aircraft management companies) in the business aviation market
- Effectively manage transaction pipeline, directing attention to transactions with highest probability to close and taking timely actions to maintain deal momentum
- Understand GJC’s products and structuring capabilities to develop competitive and sound transaction structures that meet the client’s needs
- Work closely with credit, legal and underwriting teams to support successful deal closings once a transaction has been awarded
- Maintain quality of pipeline metrics using Salesforce.com for opportunity management and forecasting accuracy, and utilize GJC’s strategic selling framework consistently to drive transaction wins
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or another business-related curriculum
- 10+ years of experience structuring and negotiating complex transactions, balancing multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experiencing selling high-value aircraft/equipment finance solutions, or with business jet sales
- Strong business acumen, motivation, and energy
- Positive and engaging demeanor, with ability to engage with multiple transaction parties and manage conflicting objectives in a balanced and objective manner
- Comfort with a steep learning curve and enthusiastic about developing relevant knowledge base in order to be highly effective in role
- Quantitative acumen to understand financial and credit/risk implications of different transaction structures
- Ability to build trust with external and internal partners
