Job Summary

In partnership with the Sales Director(s), the Market Development Associate is responsible for planning, developing and executing a regional strategy to grow the sales pipeline through the development of qualified leads.

This should include but is not necessarily limited to; data management and research, prospecting and general marketing support.

Reporting to the Manager, Market Development, this role partners directly with regional Sales Director(s) in a matrixed management environment to deliver high quality results in alignment with GJC Company Values.

Responsibilities

Data Management & Research

  • Researching and loading Target Market (TM) accounts into SFDC (Customers / Prospects / Channel Partners)
    • Actively looking for way to encourage TM accounts to accept term permitting GJC to market to them within GDPR guidelines
    • Maintaining account accuracy over time
  • Use existing industry databases (JetNet / Amstat) to research potential opportunities and develop weekly market change reports
  • Develop strong knowledge of regional installed base of aircraft, key customers, prospects, and channel partners (OEMs, brokers, dealers, management companies and aviation advisors)
  • Develop strong knowledge of key events that draw customers, prospects, channel partners and key influencers
    • Trade shows, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, ect.
  • Address ad hoc account related research requests

Prospecting

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns (HubSpot)
    • Reactive / based on market place activity
    • Proactive / based on planned campaigns
  • Develop and execute cold-calling outreach campaigns
    • Reactive / based on market place activity
    • Proactive / based on planned campaigns
  • Initiate and support the development of local brand building and prospecting events
    • Events hosted at our Hong Kong office
    • Trade shows / conferences / speaking opportunities
  • Relationship building
    • Build and manage relationships with channel partners including but not limited to OEMs, brokers, dealers, management companies and aviation advisors
  • In-line with existing SOPs, respond to all regional web or 800# inquiries

General Marketing Support:

  • In partnership with the Director of Marketing and the Director of Sales & Marketing Effectiveness, the MDA will provide general local marketing support (as required) ensuring languages, customs and local nuances are effectively addressed
    • Event management
    • Broad brand building campaigns
    • Promotional material development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (marketing, business, or finance preferred); MBA preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
    • Marketing and / or Sales in Business Aviation and / or Financial Services
  • Must be based in and legally able to work in Hong Kong
  • Language skills - Mandarin and English
  • Quantitative skills – understanding data, technology and ability to problem solve
  • Must be willing to travel for training and/or industry events; frequent travel

Knowledge and Experience

  • Digital media skills and experience
  • Database management expertise
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies especially campaign management
  • Lead development skills
  • Prospect qualification skills
  • Proven quantification skills: understanding data, technology and how-to problem solve
  • Previous B2B outbound lead generation (preferred)
  • Salesforce.com or equivalent data loader import, export, update experience preferred
  • Lead automation platform configuration experience
