We are seeking a highly motivated and organized professional to be responsible for various aviation insurance and other operations-related activities. Below are the expected responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed reviews of customer corporate aviation insurance certificates to ensure compliance with lease and loan documentation, company policies and credit facility requirements.
- Work closely with U.S. and international customers, aviation insurance brokers and/or insurance companies to correct deficiencies.
- Track expiration dates for customers’ insurance certificates and request renewals from the insurance parties and/or customers.
- Research insurance claims and coordinate the Company’s approval process for requests submitted by customers and insurance representatives.
- Insurance subject matter expert for other functions within the Company and the primary interface with the Company’s insurance carrier for guidance and to be informed of changes in the industry.
- Ordering articles of incorporation, good standing statuses and suits, liens and judgements searches based on guidance received from deal teams.
- Request UCC searches from 3rd party provider based on guidance received from deal teams.
- File UCC-1 financing statements and UCC-3 amendments, continuations and terminations with guidance received from deal teams, if applicable.
- Prepare and send (i) original signed documents to the storage facility in accordance with policy, (ii) chattel paper to the Company’s security trustee and (iii) requests to the security trustee to send chattel paper for terminated deals to the storage and retention facility.
- Backup support to apply cash to customers’ accounts and various other operations-related activities.
- Ad hoc tasks and projects.
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent with at least three (3) years’ experience in the leasing/financial services industry.
- Working knowledge of lease and loan products and related documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Must be willing to work out of an office in Danbury, CT.
- Unrestricted work authorization for the United States.
Desired Qualifications:
- Aviation insurance background is highly desired.
- Intermediate Excel skills highly desired (i.e. data analysis, formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts).
- Extremely detailed-oriented and able to effectively organize, prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong work ethic with high energy level, positive attitude and can effectively work as a team player.
- Able to suggest improvements to process gaps that will lead to efficiencies or eliminate potential risks to protect the portfolio.
- Ability to quickly adapt and embrace new processes, ideas, and technology.
