Transaction Closing Analyst
Location: Danbury, CT
Job Summary:
Manage all operational aspects of the funding and closing of domestic and international corporate aircraft leases and loans, including the following responsibilities:
New Transaction Closings and Portfolio Modifications:
- Actively managing transactions to their closing dates by generating closing checklists in accordance with credit approval and structural terms and conditions, actively managing for changes and/or updates for closing preparedness and interfacing with key parties, including customers, internal functions, vendors, internal and external legal counsel, escrow agents, banks and credit facility lenders.
- Populate economic data into final versions of transaction documents and generate FAA versions of such documents.
- Operational review of completed documentation and conditions precedent prior to funding. Receive signoff from Credit to confirm that all approval conditions have been appropriately addressed.
- Ensure Operations preparedness for each closing, including the proper setup of wire transfers.
- Provide required information to the Legal function to support the generation of transaction documentation. Assist with completion of specific Operational duties (i.e., insurance).
- Secure the Company’s collateral position in accordance with standard operating procedures (including FAA, International Registry and UCC perfection).
- Active participation in various corporate projects and initiatives
Asset Management
- Prepare ancillary documents for the sale of aircraft from the Company’s inventory following execution of aircraft sale agreements. Drive the conclusion of sale process by gathering all required items and coordinating the closing with key parties.
- For lease terminations, consult with Asset Management to ensure all customer return conditions are met, proper and accurate documentation is completed and in place and required funds have been collected.
Transaction Booking and Post-Close Activities
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing of new leases and loans, portfolio modifications, inventory returns and inventory sales in the Company’s operating system.
- Conduct various post-close activities such as perfection filings, fulfillment of conditions subsequent and satisfaction of stipulated lender standards (i.e., proper storage of chattel paper originals).
- Prepare and send (i) transaction files to Credit/Legal for final sign-off, (ii) original signed documents to the storage and retention facility in accordance with records management policy and (iii) as applicable, send chattel paper originals to the security trustee in accordance with the credit facility requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent (i.e. paralegal degree) with at least three (3) years’ experience in the leasing/financial services industry.
- Detail oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to determine transaction requirements and resolve issues quickly.
- Ability to influence and gain commitment from the deal team and customer to achieve deal timelines.
- Significant customer service experience with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of lease and loan products and documentation, insurance, lien perfection, and tax implications related to leases.
- General knowledge of accounting.
- Familiarity with corporate aircraft leases/loans.
- Ability to work under strict time limits to meet internal and external customer expectations
- Ability to quickly adapt and embrace new processes, ideas and technology

- Strong oral and written communications skills
